This guide applies to most inverter models<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. LVFU Battery <\/a>Side Connection Confirmation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

First, confirm that you connect the battery interface as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> The following diagram shows a single battery connection. For parallel use, connect from the 485IN (485B)<\/strong> of the first battery to the 485OUT (485A)<\/strong> of the next battery, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Inverter Side Connection Confirmation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you set the inverter’s communication port to BMS 485\/CAN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Normal Operating Status<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Once you complete the wiring as described above, the battery should work normally, and communication issues will resolve themselves. The image below shows the normal operating screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. What to Do When Charging\/Discharging Fails or Battery SOC Is Inaccurate<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If you encounter any of the following issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Charging or discharging abnormalities<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Battery low-voltage lockout (cannot start)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Inaccurate battery SOC reading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Please check the following settings on your Deye inverter<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    LVFU Battery Model<\/strong><\/td>BMS Current Limit<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
    100Ah \/ 200Ah<\/td>100Amp<\/td><\/tr>

    Ensure that the charging\/discharging current does not exceed the BMS current limit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Activate Battery Function<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    The Activate Battery<\/strong> function applies only to batteries that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Have remained unused for a long period, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Have stayed at low voltage without a full charge for a long time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This function reactivates the battery and recalibrates the SOC reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. What to Do When Communication Fails<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6.1 Check the Communication Cable<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      Confirm that the communication cable works properly and that the pin assignments match at both ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6.2 When Pin Assignments Do Not Match<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      If the inverter’s communication port pin assignment differs from the battery’s, you need to make a new communication cable<\/strong> that matches both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      7. DIP Switch Settings for Older Batteries<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Note: Newer battery versions do not require DIP switch settings. The following applies only to older batteries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Single Battery Use<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      Make sure all DIP switches are set to OFF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Parallel Use with Multiple Batteries<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      Follow the user manual strictly for parallel DIP settings and communication port connections.
      Connect the RS485B<\/strong> of the first battery to the RS485A<\/strong> of the next battery, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      BMS Communication Port Selection During Parallel Connection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      When running batteries in parallel, ensure that all batteries use the same BMS communication port selection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
